Like the strongest
roots holds on to the ground
I will listen to you
Like the sailor listens
to the wind
I will fight for you
The way a man fights
for his life
I will hold your hand
Like a loving wife to
her husband
I will share all your
sorrows and woes
The way the moon shared
the howling of the wolves
I will be right beside
you
Just like the best of
friends do
I will wipe your tears
away
Even after my hair
turns gray
